The documentary is different from other products so far on the blockchain, as the 30-minute video shows some of the procedures used when building a startup focused on cryptography.

Crypto Startup School: how to become an entrepreneur in the crypto sector

On 9 October 2020, the company Andreessen Horowitz released a new documentary on Youtube called “Crypto Startup School” as part of an experiment that also includes 14 conferences.

The documentary covers a course recently taught by Andreessen Horowitz that saw over 40 participants learning the process of creating a crypto company. “This 30-minute documentary follows the backstory of several students as they tackle a new program for crypto entrepreneurs called 'Crypto Startup School',” observes the description of the YouTube video.

"Along the way, they develop crypto projects, seek to find investors and build businesses, and face challenges familiar to every founder, all against the backdrop of an unprecedented pandemic."

The documentary follows many students who took Andreessen Horowitz's cryptography course. In addition to this, a number of executives from established companies in the crypto industry have joined the course and have been featured in the documentary and lectures. These include personalities like Coinbase's Brian Armstrong, Andreessen Horowitz's Chris Dixon and Tina Ferguson, and also investor Balaji Srinivasan.

Marc Andreessen, co-founder of Andreessen Horowitz, is a big proponent of bitcoin and in 2014 Andreessen wrote a popular opinion piece entitled “Why Bitcoin Matters”. Six years later, as the global economy was shaking in reaction to Covid-19, Andreessen Horowitz invested over $ 500 million in the digital currency market with the "Crypto Fund II".

The "Crypto Startup School" was born and grew up as coronavirus lockdown provisions increased everywhere and most of the activities were carried out despite the blockade. The cryptographic course participants learned about applications, opportunities, business models, financing, software development, and performing an encryption operation with people working remotely. The course consists of 14 video lessons and other extra content available for free and usable online without having to download any application on your devices.
