FTX is officially the cryptocurrency platform and NFT market of the Golden State Warriors for everything related to the digital world.
The partnership is the first cryptocurrency deal in professional sport in which the NBA franchise will leave its NFTs on FTX. Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Brandon Schneider commented on the partnership: “Cryptocurrency has a well-established global community and will continue to be an important part of the sports, media and entertainment industries. In our conversations with FTX, we quickly realized our common desire to innovate around the integration and adoption of cryptocurrencies, including the role of NFTs in global fan engagement. "
The Warriors are the latest organization to join the NFT craze. Recently, Crypto.com made a move to partner with the Philadelphia 76ers as well as renaming the Staples Center to better associate in the world of professional sports. The Warriors are the first sports team to drop NFT earlier this year. To commemorate the partnership, the Warriors and FTX will be giving away three Bitcoins to three different non-profit organizations in the Bay Area. The three recipients include Self-eStem, Mission Bit, and Techbridge girls.
FTX US President Brett Harrison said, “Through our partnership with Stephen Curry, we have been introduced to the Warriors organization and are thrilled to partner with a franchise that aligns with our core values. The FTX US NFT platform will provide a leading, safe and secure place for the Warriors' international fan base to access exclusive collectibles from the franchise. ”
Steph Curry explains the initial success of the Golden State Warriors this NBA season
Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are proving they are worth the championship with their current record of 12-2 in the NBA's Western Conference. After a major win against the Brooklyn Nets and Curry's former teammate Kevin Durant, the Warriors are reminding fans that they don't back down from any challenge.
After the win against the Nets, Curry spoke to reporters and entertained himself with the idea of having Klay Thompson and James Wiseman back on the pitch. When discussing their progress, Curry said, “You have Klay Thompson and James Wiseman at home playing 5 on 5 to prepare. So this is a big problem to have ”. He also revealed that their current rotations are the reason they saw great success so early in the season, “This is the challenge of what we have in terms of balancing how many guys you can throw out there every single night and create a rotation. solid that will help us win a championship, so this is the secret sauce right now ”.
It's uncertain when Thompson and Wiseman will make their trail back onto the pitch, but so far Curry and the rest of the squad have proven they're just as tough without their star players.
