FTX is in the spotlight this month, as it will partner with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 racing team.

On Friday, the crypto exchange FTX announced a partnership for the Miami Beach race weekend.

From May 6-8, 2022, FTX and Mercedes-AMG Petronas will bring "the thrill of beach racing with all-day entertainment and a soundtrack to match, including the show's epic closing acts every day."

In addition to getting close to a Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1, there will also be an NFT gallery, where attendees can purchase and create their own NFTs before enjoying gaming experiences and more.

Through the FTX Off The Grid website, F1 fans and NFT enthusiasts can request their free NFT ticket to upgrade their experience.

FTX also tweeted to announce the three-day event.

Mercedes-AMG Petronas has announced the launch of the first in a series of FTX-powered NFT drops.

According to the announcement, eleven NFTs of digital artwork will feature Mercedes-AMG Petronas cars. Mad Dog Jones exclusively designed and created each NFT.

Several NFTs will be available for auction on the FTX platform during the Miami Race Weekend. The remaining NFTs will go up for auction later in the F1 season.

For F1 fans, “NFTs will be paired with a physical object”.

The announcement continues to say:

“Two are bundled with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 rear wings wrapped in NFT artwork, which were driven on the track in Miami. The third NFT is paired with a full-size Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 replica car from 2022, wrapped in NFT artwork. ”

The auction for all three NFTs starts on Sunday 9 May. Proceeds from the auction will go to Ignite, “a joint charity initiative of Mercedes-AMG Petronas and Mission 44, to support greater diversity and inclusion in motorsport”.
