In order to create a legislative environment that is compatible with the use of cryptocurrencies and, in parallel, show a better competitiveness and leadership in the Balkan region of Europe in this respect, the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed that the Albanian government is already working to be able to evaluate developments and ways to attract investments in the cryptocurrency sector.

Albania as a center for potential investors

According to TiranaTimes, last October 22, Rama noted how Albania could become a center of potential investors in the virtual money sector. Government officials are therefore already working on projects and evaluations to introduce regulatory proposals in the sector.

"As an integral part of our efforts to reach new markets and create new opportunities for well-paying jobs and qualified people, we are exploring the possibility of creating a regulatory framework on criptovaluta, which today is a shocking novelty, and where the opportunity to be innovative and to create a center of gravity for innovative financial markets is open to every country, despite their level of development "- declared Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"For the moment we are evaluating and working on the drafting of a regulatory framework after conducting an in-depth analysis and study. If the results are satisfactory, then we will promote, even outside of Albania, the will of the country to become a hub for many potential investors who aim to be involved in this global finance revolution, "said Rama last weekend, speaking at a ceremony to launch the Albania-Italy offshore section of the large Trans-Adriatic pipeline that brings Caspian gas to Europe.
