You know the name of Chris Larsen? Probably not, although today he is one of the potentially richest men in the world. However, if we reveal that it is the co-founder of Ripple, as well as his managing director in office, we are certain that things suddenly become clearer.

Ripple makes one of its founders become (very) rich

Il CEO of Ripple, strengthened by the growth in prices of what is one of the most coveted and popular cryptocurrencies in the world, it was able to celebrate a personal fortune of over 58 billion dollars, becoming the fifth richest person in the USA, in front of characters certainly more famous as Larry Page e Sergey Brin, Google founders, able to reach "only" the eighth and tenth place in the Forbes 400 ranking.

Although it is true that not all the fortunes of Larsen they can only be traced back to the cryptocurrency world, it seems undeniable to reflect on how the strong increase in the prices of digital currency has allowed the CEO to become one of the richest people in the United States.

Chris Larsen

We recall that, at the time of writing, it is known that Chris Larsen has 5,19 billions of Ripple digital coins, with 17% holding in the company. This allowed the assets of Larsen to make a new push to reach the threshold of 59 billions of dollars, overtaking Larry Ellison and approaching - but not so much - to the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, at the post with 74,4 billion dollars.

It is however true that, at least for the time being, the value of Larsen's assets is only "potential" and undeniably the result of the value of an extremely volatile asset and probably of the less certain and spendable value compared to that of the other Scrooges on the list.
