Shiba Inu: American Airlines and Air Canada accept SHIB: will the price go up to 1 dollar?

Shiba Inu: American Airlines and Air Canada accept SHIB: will the price go up to 1 dollar? - shiba inuShiba Inu (SHIB) has continued to be adopted despite the cryptocurrency bear market. The dog-themed memecoin can now be used to pay for airline tickets at American Air and Air Canada through FCF Pay.

FCF Pay, a cryptocurrency payment gateway platform, announced in a tweet that it has integrated its FCFPAY Visa cards with American Air, the world's largest airline, and Air Canada, Canada's national airline.

This allows holders of the platform's prepaid debit cards to book airline tickets and pay using around 20 stablecoins and SHIB.

You can use your FCFPAY visa card to book flights with Air Canada and American Air using #cryptocurrencies. Easy to use, select your balance, load your card and use it in less than 2 minutes!

Notably, FCF Pay only added support for SHIB payments in October, making the memecoin the first non-stable coin on its platform. At the time, FCF Pay also revealed that users can purchase its prepaid debit cards using SHIB.

He added that SHIB can now be accepted by hundreds of online merchants, including subscription streaming service Netflix and e-commerce giant Amazon. FCF Pay also allows users of its virtual Visa cards to connect to Apple/Google Pay in the US and Canada and convert cryptocurrencies into local currency.

Will adoption of SHIB drive prices to new highs?

Meanwhile, the partnership with FCF Pay hasn't been the only success that the Shiba Inu ecosystem has seen in its lifetime. The memecoin is gaining traction across various industries, having announced key partnerships with companies, governments and international organizations, as well as launching its own commercial ventures.

Recent ecosystem partnerships announced include crypto-friendly travel agency Travala and multinational organization World Economic Forum (WEF). According to an announcement from Shiba Inu creator Shytoshi Kusama, the WEF has invited the Shiba community to help shape global metaverse policy.

Previously, members of the Shiba Inu community launched Welly, a burger that accepts SHIB and is governed by the Doggy DAO. Similarly, the Turkish government also revealed plans to partner with the memecoin ecosystem earlier this year.

The growing adoption of the memecoin has meant that the Shiba community remains optimistic and continues to develop. The Shiba Inu ecosystem is working on several projects, including Shibarium, a second-level network, a highly anticipated metaverse called SHIB: The Metaverse, and several blockchain-based games.

These moves are expected to transition the SHIB token from a parody crypto to something more serious, thus giving its price a major boost. Currently, SHIB is trading at a quotation of $0,0000093, an increase of 4,3% in the last 24 hours.
