A new version of Dogecoin Tip Bot arrives on Twitter

iStock-871230958 New Version of Dogecoin Tip Bot Hits TwitterSoDogeTip is a community-created tipping bot that has found success on Reddit. It replaced the previous Dogetipbot which was shut down after its creator struggled to replace the DOGE funds they took out of service to finance their business.

Planet Crypto spoke to developer SoDogeTip to learn more about his move to Twitter.

Tips Dogecoin on Twitter

Going through u / just-an-dev, the developer of SoDogeTip said he is confident in the value of Dogecoin's tips, even with Bitcoin's tips. He said: “Dogecoin has been an entry point into cryptocurrencies for many people. We have a friendly community. Twitter tips will increase the number of people who watch Dogecoin ”.

The developer also pointed out that Dogecoin has low transaction fees, making it perfect for small tips.

Once users have registered for the SoDogeTip service, they can send small portions of DOGE to their Twitter accounts by calling the SoDogeTip bot.

Sticking to Dogecoin's core values, the developer has no specific goal in mind for SoDogeTip. "Hope it gets used a lot, but like Reddit tipbot, we provide a service to easily send Dogecoin, but we don't have the target of a number of users or anything like that."

“Most people get involved in tipping. Community friendship does the rest. They receive their reward and refer back to others when they love their content ”.

As for what users should tip, the developer said: “Any type of tweet can be rewarded, whether it's a good post, a link to an article or a good meme. Reward someone who has helped you on a topic, reward a creator or just for fun. "

Send and withdraw, this is the secret

Although SoDogeTip is live on Twitter, it is not a finished product and still has some problems. “We've finished all development and the tipbot is up and running,” they said. "We're dealing with Twitter's support for restrictions that don't allow us to respond to DMs or send verification messages with the tip's txID."

They also said they will reduce the permissions tipbot needs on your Twitter account.

Of course, there will always be some caution around the new tipbot after Dogetipbot is closed. Dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus, who described Doge's tipping as "one of the best use cases," recommended not storing coins in the flagship bot, aside for too long.
