Apple's mysterious new headset is only a year away

What will it take to convince hundreds of millions of "normal" people to walk around in their daily lives wearing a pair of virtual reality headsets?

The world's largest tech company may soon have the answer. Thanks to the 2017 acquisition of Vrvana, Apple bought "pass-through" technology that allows the wearer to see the world around them with overlapping digital images, meaning everything from making payments to getting directions road, could be done hands-free.
