Lazio becomes the official launch partner for Binance's Fan Token platform

Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange, has become the official jersey partner of the popular Italian professional football team SS Lazio.

Announcing the deal in a blog post on Wednesday, Binance revealed it has entered into a multi-year deal with the team.

Binance Launches the Fan Token platform

The cryptocurrency exchange has revealed the launch of its Fan Token platform, with Lazio as the official launch partner and the first sports team to release a token on the platform. Binance, in turn, will become the football team's main jersey sponsor.

The Lazio Fan Token (LAZIO), a utility coin that provides fans with a way to interact with their favorite football team, will be issued via Binance Launchpad.

The initiative will help bring the club's brand to the global pitch and create a more electrifying fan engagement experience for Lazio fans through various unique and engagement-based rewards, interactivity, gamification and more.

The Roma football team is highly regarded nationally and internationally and has won several awards.

Leveraging Binance's reach will open up new horizons for Lazio and enable it to create a stronger digital presence by connecting more closely to its fans around the world.

The LAZIO token will initially be made available to users on the Binance Launchpad. However, the exchange plans to take it to its spot trading platform, add credit card purchases, and enable P2P.

Binance expands its reach

The Binance Fan Token platform offers sports fans a way to interact with their favorite sports teams. It allows users of the exchange to collect fan tokens, NFTs, vote on certain fan-only decisions, and even have the chance to meet one-on-one with their favorite sports teams.

The partnership with Lazio is the first of its kind for Binance. Several other cryptocurrency exchanges, on the other hand, have entered into sponsorship deals with some high-profile sports clubs and stars.

Some of the companies that have become very active in the sports industry include CryptoCom and FTX. Both trading platforms have entered into several sports partnership deals over the past few months.

In June, FTX entered into a long-term partnership agreement with US Major League Baseball (MLB), while CryptoCom recently became the official crypto platform for French professional football team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

And you are going to invest in the Lazio fan token, or are you from Rome? Or would you like your favorite team to launch an initiative like this? Let us know in the comments section below.
