The leading Venezuelan aviation academy now allows payments in bitcoins

One of Venezuela's leading aviation academies has announced its start in cryptocurrency adoption. This, right after enabling bitcoin payments. Caracas Air now accepts cryptocurrency payments for those who want to take one of their courses.

The Academy began its operations in 2015

According to the announcement made by its CEO, Oliver Laufer, the academy will also offer discounts and financing plans for those who choose to pay with bitcoin (quotation BTC). Overall, Caracas Air is known as the most important emerging and certified aviation academy in Venezuela.

Based on its clients, the company teaches nearly 900 students a year, whose study programs are certified by the Venezuelan Aviation Authority (INAC). Laufer founded the academy with his brother in 2015 after acquiring a Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft to run the school.

Those who obtain certification from Caracas Air can obtain an authorized license from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In short, it is the first ICAO certified aviation academy in Venezuela to offer payments in BTC.

Among the programs that students could pay for via cryptocurrencies are those who choose to:

  • become cabin crew
  • flight dispatcher
  • introductory courses in professional teaching
  • security management systems (SMS)
  • minimization of vertical separation (RVSM)
  • performance-based navigation (PBN)

However, the company did not disclose the discount percentages people are entitled to when paying with bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency adoption continues to lead an uptrend in Venezuela during the crisis

The announcement follows a series of similar facts in different industries across the country. As reported by some online media in March 2021, Venezuelan customers of the country's largest satellite TV provider are now able to pay their utility bills via cryptocurrencies.

Simple TV announced that it had enabled the feature to its more than four million users, whose company was the replacement for Directv.

Additionally, crypto-friendly freelance solutions appear in Venezuela to address the difficulties of arranging payments with foreign fiat, such as Venezuela Workers, a Venezuelan freelance platform that connects local freelancers with global employers who are looking to pursue some project or perform a specific task. .

How is it going with the adoption of cryptocurrencies?

Between people who continue to believe that it is all a bubble and people like Elon Musk, who continue to push in the opposite direction, it is evident that cryptocurrencies have now become public domain.

All altcoins, along with bitcoin, have seen significant increases in recent months and things continue to go well. Those who chose to invest in digital currencies at the end of last year, as we have repeatedly suggested doing, now find themselves with a nice plus sign in the bank. And what do you think of all this? And what about the announcement made by Caracas Air and its adoption of cryptocurrencies? Let us know in the comments below.
