14% of Russians think cryptocurrencies will oust Fiat currency in 10 years - Moscow 1024x662A new survey has revealed the different positions of the Russians towards cryptocurrencies and fiat currency. In particular, some of the respondents believe that digital assets will replace fiat currency in ten years.

Moscow residents believe cryptocurrencies will replace the Fiat currency, while others are skeptical

According to Nord News, the research was conducted by Otkritie Bank, a Moscow-based financial institution and one of the top ten banks in the country. It found that 14% of the 1.000 Muscovites surveyed said they were optimistic in terms of digital currencies and that the outlook was also good for the years to come.

The bank collected these responses from people between the ages of 18 and 65. The survey took place in the largest cities of Russia between 12 and 16 April. Although 8% of respondents from the Northwest region think cryptocurrencies will oust fiat currency in ten years, 21% of Moscow residents believe just the opposite.

In fact, four out of ten people in the Russian capital expect banks to reinvent themselves in "digital ecosystems". Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency industry continues to develop and extend its arms towards new horizons.

Much is still being said about traditional fiat in the Northwestern Federal District. There, 34% of respondents "believe that cryptocurrencies cannot replace traditional currencies for any reason," the survey said.

Furthermore, a neutral position came from the entire Moscow region, where 46% of residents who were surveyed believe that people should always have the choice of using cryptocurrencies or traditional money.

However, 39% of respondents think that "it is impossible to give up cash because not the whole world will be able to do without it".
