Ripple Labs is based in San Francisco and has managed to obtain the services of Devraj Varadhan, formerly of Amazon. Varadhan joins Ripple as the new senior vice president of the engineering department. Among many other responsibilities, he was tasked with leading the company's engineering team.
Varadhan will try to take on the role of his predecessor Chris Kanaan and fill the void he left. Kanaan was a longtime employee for Ripple prior to its release some time ago. Brad Garlinghouse, the company's chief executive, said he was thrilled to have Varadhan on board.

Varadhan served as the company's vice president for over three years between 2017 and late 2020. He further explained that the Ripple network would conceive and support greater efficiency on the global financial network by leveraging the potential of blockchain with the Internet of Value (IoV).
